This covers the website at coastaltech.group. Coastal Technology Group LLC is a Georgia limited liability company based in Midway, Georgia. If we are already working together, the agreement we signed governs your project, and this page covers the website only.
What you send us
Three places on this site let you send us something. All of them are optional and none of them work by accident.
- The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional website, and your message.
- The free redesign form asks for your first and last name, your email address, and the address of the site you want redesigned. You can also add style preferences and notes if you want to steer the result.
- The chat assistant receives whatever you type into it. If you ask it to pass a message to us, it sends along the name, email, and message you gave it.
We use all of that to reply to you and to do the work you asked about. That is the whole purpose.
What the site records on its own
Our web server keeps an access log, the same as nearly every web server does. It records the IP address the request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user agent string. We use it to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
The site stores a couple of small items in your own browser using localStorage. One remembers that you dismissed the chat greeting so it stops reappearing. The other holds the state of a redesign you started, so a refresh doesn't lose your place. Both stay on your device, and clearing your browser data removes them. This site sets no tracking cookies.
There is no analytics package on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no third-party tracking script of any kind.
Who else can see it
We keep the list of outside companies short, and each one is here because the site cannot work without it.
- Railway hosts the site and the services behind it. Our server logs live there.
- Groq runs the language model behind the chat assistant. What you type in the chat is sent to Groq so it can generate a reply. Don't put anything confidential into a chat window, here or anywhere else.
We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. We would only give it to someone else if a law required it.
How long we keep it
If you send us a message or a redesign request, we keep it as long as we're working with you and for a reasonable period afterward as a business record. Chat transcripts are held temporarily on the server so a conversation can continue across messages, and they are not kept as a permanent archive. Server access logs roll off on the hosting platform's normal schedule.
Your choices
Email us and ask what we have about you, and we'll tell you. Ask us to delete it, and we will, unless we're required to keep it. There's no account to close and no mailing list you were signed up for without asking.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and the people who run them. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
